what do i need to do before changing my gpu

Okay so basically i want to upgrade from Nvidia GTX 650 to 1070

And i saw a lot of people saying that if you are going to change your gpu then you need to boot into safemode and unistall all your old drivers by using DDU and shut down your pc then change your gpu

But most of them changed their gpu from amd to nvidia, but i want to upgrade from a nvidia card to another nvidia card, which means my old gpu is from nvidia and my new one is from nvidia too

So i think that they have the same drivers ? Do i need to remove my drivers first then swap my old gpu with my new one or just shut down my pc and unplug the psu and swap my gpu without deleting anything ?

You should still use DDU and uninstall your drivers before plugging in the 1070.

Just change the cards and reinstall latest nvidia graphic driver. Check clean install checkbox when reinstalling.

So basically i dont need to unplug my usbs from the pc ( headset, keyboard, mouse etc ) and i dont need to use ddu

I just need to swap them and download the latest driver ?

Yes, should be fine.
You use advanced techniques like DDU only if you encounter any problems.
