Its a ryzen 5600 + rx 6600. Ive turend on DOCP, smart access memory and PBO in the BIOS, monitor is set to freesync 75hz. Are there any other settings in the BIOS or whatever that i should be using?

Is this a prebuild or custom build?

In the case of prebuilt PC one of the first things I recommend after simply making sure it operates properly is a fresh and clean OS install. Get rid of all that bloatware mess that comes with. After that, I typically uninstall One Drive, go to Ninite and get the installer I need for a few things I use. I then go into the settings and in particular in background apps and privacy settings and turn off or uninstall anything I don't use. I turn off or disable Cortana, turn off recommendations, disable (certain) "widgets" as they are being called again. Basically, reducing the number of processes running. I typically also go to startup programs and turn things off that I don't need to load on start.

Keep in mind if you're going to muck around in Windows that requires elevating user privileges (i.e., triggers UAC), make sure you actually know what's it doing before doing it. Don't just blindly follow a guide or click everything a program says "should be" safe to tweak.

App developers can only assume you're using the default system level settings and/or behavior.

Its a custom built PC (so no vendor software) but i got a PC store to assemble it for me.

win10 pro
Asus Prime B550M-A Wifi II
Ryzen 5600
Rx 6600
Crucial p3 NVME SSD
Seagate Barracuda HDD
XPG Gammix DDR4 3600mhz CL18 RAM
Montec air 100

Im actually having a problem turning off the RGB lights for the casing and cooler fans...the open RGB software doesnt do anything, and turning off the AURA LEDs in the BIOS doesnt work either.

I dont see anything wrong, seems plugged in correctly : View: https://i.imgur.com/gRg9ct6.jpg

According to the model of the fans and case they may not be controllable. Many products today are sold with the "pretty lights" that either don't or won't sync with the various lighting apps. IMO with so many variants out there it is often required to build your system with the lighting software as a main consideration for hardware selection.

Where did you see that its not controllable?
