Hello,
I am 16 years old and I love computers. This is what I want to do when I get older. What I am trying to find out is what degrees do I need to get in order to work with computers. What I am wanting to do is working on them, upgrading them, and mostly everything you do with a computer. and plus do something on networking and programs. I am wanting to get some info on it so I know what I need to do when I get out of high school.

If i were you i'd try programing, there are loads of videos showing how to pick up the basics. then i would try to ask the owner of a local pc shop (not a franchies) to let you help out for free. see which you preferr and then you will know which root to take.
things you can do on your own. first off most people look to see if your a plus certified. it a very basic computer test. lot of places and you can do it online. also do it yourself is microsoft mse networking test. that help you with basic networks info. join the micosoft mse program and developer porgram. they have great tools and lets you kick around a lot of free ms software for the small fee. online order basic electronic theory text book. digital circuits and basic digital hardware. pick up from a local electrical hardware store a good digital volt meter and set of cables and test probes. first thing when learning hardware is how not to shock yourself or short out what your working on. look for dead tv or steroes look online for there repair guild. then see if you can find the part on the mb that went bad. look online for bread boarding supplys and things to build. i would look online see if any local hospital or collage has entry level or enter ship programs. where i used to work at emc they had high school work on the job at the plant and emc paid for there tech school training. also talk to your local unions about paid training and jobs. (most hvac techs use the same tools and training as pc tech you get to learn also how to soilder and braze with hvac) it also be another trade skill. also email comp for there trianing and service guilds. when i was at micro center as a tech we were paid to have company like hpo and toshibi cirt.

I want to kinda do both right now I am not sure. I basically want to start out like the best buy geek squad. Just start out just doing things on the computer itself and taking the computer apart.
