What do i need to look for in a motherboard?

Hello,

I'm looking to build my dream PC, i have a budget of roughly 1000€ and i am currently looking at an i5 4690K 3.2ghz quad-core processor, and roughly a gtx 750i or thereabouts, 8gb ddr3 ram, 1tb HDD, (maybe an SSD), but i am lost in motherboards.... basically;

What do i need to look for in a motherboard?
What are "all the features" people talk about in them?

I want one that will be liable for different upgrades in the coming years.

Durability, quality components, and special features that you need (Too many special features are useless because you might not most of it). The special features in motherboards help you do things faster, better, or easier. Kind of like OC Genie, which makes overclocking easier. For your needs, try an Asus Z97-A or an MSI Z97 MPOWER motherboard.
