[SOLVED] What do I need to upgrade?

I am wondering what I would need to upgrade next? My gaming computer is about 5 years old and it was a decent build back then but I had bought it from my brother about 3 years ago.

Honestly just need some peoples opinions because I can play games like battlefield 5 pretty decent but I have a few studders here and there and I think it is my CPU bottlenecking but I am not 100% for sure if that is the main reason

I have upgraded my power supply and my GPU but that is about all I have ever done.

My specs are listed below
Motherboard--> ASUS 98Z77-V LX
RAM(memory)--> Two Corsiar 4gb ddr3(Part number CML8GX3M2A1600C9
CPU--> Intel core i5 3570k (ivy bridge) Pretty sure it is overclocked. Shows 4.2 mhz while running games.
GPU--> MSI GTX 1060 6gb
Power Supply--> 650w(Do not know the name)
HDD--> Seagate ST31000524AS

Any good suggestions would be awesome, thanks!!!

The stuttering could be a lack of RAM, 8GB is the minimum for Battlefield 5. Add the OS and you probably play close to the limit. Besides that, the CPU might be a slight bottleneck.

If you decide to upgrade the CPU, you'll need to find either a 3770k used or replace the motherboard along with a newer CPU. And if you find anything 6th gen Intel or newer, or anything Ryzen, you'll also need DDR4 RAM to go with it.

Would the motherboard be a problem if I kept it and just found the best CPU that is compatible with the board I have? I have thought about a CPU but that is true if I bought a newer CPU I would need some better ram to equal things out :p

It would not be a problem to do that; it's why I mentioned the 3770k: it's the next step up (and seems to be the best possible according to my limited research - further limited research shows the 2770k might be an upgrade as well). However, if you're paying more than $50 for it, you're probably better off holding on until you can get a new system (CPU, RAM and Motherboard, that is).

Thanks man! Hopefully I can find some cheap ebay processor (and not get scammed ofc) and a decent RAM set. I just need to get by for now and hope that this little upgrade lasts me a bit longer lol
