My PC consists of a GTX 980 Ti, i5 6600, gigabyte Aorus Gaming K5 motherboard and 16 GB of ram. I have a good case, ssd, loads of storage and I am wondering what should I upgrade and what should I upgrade to, I have a few options but please recommend some alternatives. Note that I can only upgrade ONE thing. So, the options go as, GTX 980 Ti to GTX 980 Ti SLI, i5 6600 to i7 7700K.I NEED AN ANSWER QUICK THE MONTHLY PAY JUST CAME IN I NEED THIS DECISION TO HAPPEN QUICK!

these games are poorly optimized, I recommend to upgrade the CPU so in the future you can buy a new GPU (980ti is still a great card that will run every game at decent fps)

What CPU would be a good choice? BTW I am using Windows 7 and am not planning to upgrade.

Please don't upgrade anything.

My first question to you is Why, Why do you want to upgrade? Having to reduce settings a little too much? . You know not all games will benefit from SLI, don't you? You are probably also aware of scaling and that it won't be 100%. Definitely a wasteful approach. It's also risky due to no warranty. More money lost. Are you are investing more money into a 980 Ti without a warranty? So, if one or both of those cards die, you're just out 2 cards?

I suggest you apply some patience and opt for a 1080Ti or better yet, wait for Volta and reconsider your options at that point.

I've been where you are. I've made that sort of purchase, on many occasions. This past time I exercised patience and I am currently using a 1080 Ti. I even paid $10 under MSRP. Please don't waste your money.

Decision has been made, i7 7700K for 250$, a much better buy than a 500$ (thanks miners) GTX 980 Ti.

Thank you for all you Quick Answers, I appreciate you all.
