Hey, i have recently been wanting to upgrade my pc for gaming since some games when im streaming and recording dont run too well. I currently have a Intel Core i7 4790, a 1060 graphics card and 8gb of ram. (i recently bought the graphics card) i was wondering if anyine could help? Also if any other parts will affect the performance that i didnt include be sure to say them aswell

Solution
"will affect the performance" no your good but for the new games and streaming and recording you need better CPU
this GPU is good for the 1080p gaming
if you gonna upgrade go fot the i7 7th gen or 8th gen for your use

Actually upgrading your processor from the 4790 to a later generation processor isn't going to help much, the only that will Benifet from getting something like an 8700k will be the actual recording and streaming, but its not like your going have a huge difference, also it depends on what games you play, as a broad statement I would say buy your new GPU first before your processor as you still have a decent processor. Unless the games you play are all CPU intesive, so GPU first CPU second

EDIT: Also, even though 8 GB of ram is still good, It wouldn't be a bad idea to upgrade to 16, as we get closer to some of the more intesnive games they will start recommending getting 16 GB instead of 8 GB, expescially if you are streaming and recording at the same time which can take up a good chunk of your RAM

The only thing is that i upgraded my Graphics card only recently so i dot really want to change it again. Another thing i was recommended to do was to maybe get 2 graphics cards but idk how much of a difference that would make.
If that doesnt, what cpu would you recommend

If you were wanting to go with a new CPU because your GPU is working fine for what you need then I would suggest these

If you wanted to stay intel: 8700k, the streaming and recording will benifet highly for multithreaded processors with Asus ROG Strix Z370-E, its a quality board with everything you would need

If you wanted to switch over to AMD (which will be my best recomendation): I would go with a Ryzen 1700 with an ASRock Fatality x370 Professional Gaming, again it has everything you need and would give phenomenal overclocking preformance, also the 1700 is an 8 core 16 thread processors which means it will be able to run better multithreaded applications like recording and streaming than the 8700k will which is a 6 core 12 thread CPU
