Hi, When i run Black ops 3 on my PC, i turn all settings to the lowest and i get 60fps, but when in an intense battle i drop all the way down to 20 - 30fps for a few seconds.

Here's my rig:

CPU - Intel Pentium g4400
RAM - 8gb DDR4
GPU- GTX 1050 ti
PSU - 400w
SSD - 240GB

I'm thinking this might be my weak CPU and i am planning on upgrading to the i3 6100. But i want to know if 2 more threads and 0.4 more Ghz will fix this problem. The other issue i think might be RAM. They say 8Gb is enough but i'm not really sure. Please help me! :3

Solution
PC Requirements for Black Ops 3:

Operating System: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit / Windows 8.1 64-Bit.
Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-530 @ 2.93 GHz / AMD Phenom™ II X4 810 @ 2.60 GHz.
Memory: 6 GB RAM.
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 470 @ 1GB / ATI® Radeon™ HD 6970 @ 1GB.
DirectX: Version 11.

So yes, it would appear that a better processor would be the ideal upgrade.

Solution
Of course the i5 6500 would be great. I use the i3-6100 because I don't feel the need for a quad core when I have dual cores with hyper threading.

I saved my self $120 and am more than satisfied but if you have money without a doubt do it!

over clocking is alot of fun. but for some user's it isn't needed. Do you really need that 10 FPS jump while affecting the ware and tear on the CPU?

note: I love to OC but it's just a perspective to give to someone who doesn't have much money.

im just giving him the best solution.
he can get the 6100 yes but from what i understand faster is better no?
he wants fps boost, im not sure if that ht is gonna do jack. that being said im not sure if faster g4400 would fix it.
its what i would do if i wanted to solve this problem with the money id have.

op: id like a simple bench if you could

This is what i got, if there is something i didn't copy plz let me know.

UserBenchmarks: Game 40%, Desk 57%, Work 26%
CPU: Intel Pentium G4400 - 46.7%
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti - 49.1%
SSD: SanDisk SSD Plus 240GB - 71.6%
SSD: Crucial BX200 240GB - 55.4%
HDD: Samsung HD321KJ 320GB - 48.8%
RAM: Patriot PSD48G21332 1x8GB - 40.5%
MBD: Gigabyte GA-H110M-S2PV-CF

when u ran the benchmark u should be at idle with little or no background programs

ram should be fine.
if it starts to hit 80-90% steady then maybe think to upgrade that in a bit
if its 100% steady then yeah for sure

I'm getting the core i5 6500 unless any of u have a better option for me.
