What do if you have usb 2.0 on your mobo but not in your case

If I have a gigabyte h97 gaming mobo and a Thermaltake Core v51 case. How would I get access to the 2.0 sub sockets . Can I access them by inside the case

Yes, so does that mean that I have to access the use 2.0 port by the motherboard directly
