Hi Guys,
I bought an "ASUS DUAL-RTX2070-A8G-EVO" for like 420€, I know there are better Models out there, but this one got a DVI Port on it, an my 144Hz Monitor only works with DVI, so I got this one.
When i installed it, i noticed that, close to the 8-Pin Power input of the card, there were 2 LEDs and only one of them was lit. I got corious but wasnt able to find anything on the internet or the manual about it. It seems to deliver the suspected performance, however im not 100% sure about it.
So i thought maybe one of u knows what that is meant to indicate.

Here is picture of it.
Big thanks in advance and sorry for the mistakes, english isnt my native language. :)

I think there is a red LED and white LED on each power connector, only one white should be on in your case. In that link I believe they are talking about cards with more than one PCIE power connector, it looks as if each PCIE power connector has a set of white and red LED's thus why they are talking about two white LEDs. Your card only has one PCIE power connector so you would only have one white LED. That's my guess anyway.
Thank you guys!

In the Thread you linked they are talking about both these LEDs being on.
On mine, it may be a bit blurry in the picture, only one is lit.
Does this mean it gets only "half" the power or something similar?
Or can I just completely ignore it and be done with it? :)

Probably totally noobish question but I stopped really digging in pc building years ago cause of time issues and dont have the knowledge anymore :/

Thanks again for the quick und good responses! :)

I can't answer that question and neither apparently can Google. Everything I've seen indicates that both lights should be on so it might be wise to contact ASUS and get an answer from them on this. It might be necessary to RMA the card as it may have an issue or could be nothing. Might even just be a faulty LED.

That does seem to make sense, dunlop

I will however contact Asus just to make sure.
Thank you guys very much for helping me!
Really really appreciate it!

Have a nice Sunday and greetings from Germany :)

Yeah, that makes sense. The unlit LED is likely red and won't be lit unless there is a problem or a lack of power in which case it would light up to tell you that there was no power being supplied through the PCI/PEG circuit from the power supply or that it was just not plugged in. You could easily test the theory by unplugging the PCI power cable from the graphics card and powering on the system. If the white light does not come on but the other LED lights up red, then you know that is in fact the intended purpose.
