[SOLVED] What do they mean by that MSI MEG Z490 Ace does not have the have the ability to monitor water flow and temperature?

Solution
It means, in comparison to the ROG Maximus XII Hero, it lacks some of the features.

In the "ROG Maximus XII Hero "
  • ROG WATER-COOLING ZONE
    ・ W_FLOW tachometer
    ・ W_IN/OUT T-sensor

It will work no problem. It just don't have a sensor for those things.

In this review they say that MSI MEG Z490 Ace does not have the have the ability to monitor water flow and temperature:
https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/msi-meg-z490-ace/4#xenforo-comments-3616029

What is it they mean by that?
And does it impact, if I want to buy this motherboard (for cashback) and install a Corsair Hydro H115i RGB Platinum on it to cool an Intel i9 10850k?
If you look at the specs for the Maximus XII - https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-MAXIMUS-XII-HERO-WI-FI/specifications/ You will see several internal ports that are intended to monitor a custom water loop. For example "W_IN" and "W_FLOW".
The review is just saying that the MEG motherboard does not have these special ports on the motherboard.
If you are not doing a CUSTOM loop it won't matter. The Corsair AIO you list is self contained for monitoring.

Thanks a lot for a fast answer, it helped! :D

It is because I'm running a MSI Z87-G45 with an intel i7 4770 (non-k) with 16gb of DDR3 1600MHz ram and a EVGA 1080 FTW, so I think it is time to upgrade.

Is this motherboard worth it (also since I can get 90€ of my money back)?
I will not be running a custom loop any time soon.
Or is there still a board you could recommend that would be better?
I have considered the Gigabyte Aorus z390 Master motherboard with intel i9 9900k or the Z490 Master with the i9 10850k, but the Z490 Master is pretty expensive (since there is no cashback).

Is it an advantage to have an ''AIO_PUMP connector'', as the Hero has?

"Worth" is entirely up to you, and what all the other parts are, and your overall budget.

I don't see anything wrong with that one.

Is it an advantage having a dedicated aio pump connector on the board (as the Hero has)?

Finally, these reviewers say that this board is only mediocre in games:

https://www.trustedreviews.com/best/best-intel-motherboard-3685194

What is meant by that?
