Now that Ryzen CPU's, AM4 mATX and ATX are available for pre-order, it seems very enticing to buy straight away. What about mITX motherboards? Does anyone know how long it will take for them to reach retailers?

Asking because I currently don't have a working system but like to build a high performance small form factor PC as early as possible.

in the AMD world , anything not ATX sucks .. even for old AM3+ motherboards.

Avoid at all costs , just get full ATX motherboard.

the High end chipset will never be available for itx or Micro ATX ...

and yes this sucks but AMD is like that always.

So we don't know anything

I wanted AM3+ micro ATX mother board with top chipset for years and it was never released...

I dont know why when it comes to AMD , Motherboard manufacturers avoid making small motherboards with best chipset , while they do it for Intel...

not only the chipset will be missing , the good soundchip as well and better LAN chips .. on AMD mATX or ITX they put the worst Audio components as well ... and they will lack more PCIe 3.0 slots .. you will find the GPU slot PCIe 3.0 and the rest PCIe 2.0 ...

Jut look for ATX small cases if you want small machine ..

This is a good small Full ATX Case take a look at its dimensions

it is smaller than most of the Micro ATX cases around and still can take ATX motherboard.

and it has good cooling.

This looks like an interesting case and I appreciate your effort, but I'm still interested in building a powerful console sized PC sometime in the future. I think that motherboard manufacturers never release small form factor motherboards because of little demand for AMD CPU's in the past years. Hopefully this will change.
