What do you guys think about my system? Is there a bottleneck ?

I5 7500 - 3.4 GHz
Gtx 1070 ti
16 GB Ram corsair vengeance 2133MHz in dual channel(they're actually 2400mhz but my MB only supports up to 2133)
600W PSU
1TB 7.2K RPM HDD

I've looked at a lot of benchmarks comparing the i5 7500 with the i7 7700 and there were always just about 10 fps difference. But in some CPU intensive games like Hitman 2016 I'm getting stutters sometimes which is not the norm at all. Is there a bottleneck caused by my CPU ? Is it worth it to upgrade?
I don't know if a bottleneck could be caused by an HDD. Everyone seems to be getting SSD's nowadays and i know they're faster but I didn't really care for loading times and boot times. Would an SSD actually increase performance in games?

Buy an i7 7700? An SSD? Both ?

Solution
SSD won't improve game performance, but the load times and general system responsiveness is much better.

Hitman does recommend an i7, so upgrading to an i7 would boost your fps and minimize frame time variance.

This article i found on Tom's probably explains it best.

You can see with the Ryzen 3, Pentium, i3 and i5 you have a ton of yellow meaning frames aren't arriving evenly.

This unevenness causes the stutter you hate.

Do note that the i5-8600k does so well because it is a 6 core cpu, unlike the other i5s which are 4 core.

Solution
- What is your motherboard model?

- Get a SSD, and install windows/programs to it. Put all of your games on your HDD. Even if the games are on the same disk with this configuration, you will see a huge decrease in loading times and texture pop in. A 120 GB SSD could be had for $25, but most people would recommend a 500 GB SSD for maximum performance.

- The i5-7500 is a decent CPU, however, not the greatest. If I am correct, you should be able to upgrade to an i7-7700K, which would offer about a 25% increase in performance overall.

does my MB matter that much? it's an Asus h110m-cs mATX. and yes, the i5 7500 and the i7 7700 do have the same socket. my question was if i should upgrade or not
also, if i could afford the greatest of everything we wouldn't be having this conversation xD

so you're saying there's no bottleneck just bad frame times.
if it's gonna happen in a hand full of games i don't see a reason to upgrade. thank you for your answer
