This will be my first pc and I'm looking for a rig that could last me awhile before having to upgrade parts. My budget is around $1200 so let me know if I should keep these parts or swap any thanks!

CPU: I5 8600K
CPU COOLER: Deepcool GAMMAXX 400
GPU: GTX 1070TI FTW
MOTHERBOARD: Asus - ROG STRIX Z370-E
RAM: Crucial - Ballistix Sport LT 8GB DDR4-2666 Memory
PSU: EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
DRIVE:SSD 250GB /HDD 2TB
CASE: Phanteks Eclipse P400 Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower

If budget allows it would make sense to. If your plan was to get another stick of ram later you do run the risk of memory compatibility between the two rams if not bought as a kit. Mixing ram is iffy but can work. If you can avoid that possibility happening to you get 2x 8GB now.
8gb ram is a bit iffy these days. Better to get matched set now than adding later.

So will I be better off getting 16gb of ram right now rather than waiting to upgrade later?
