This will game WAY better and the 390 performs better than a 970, it will cost about 10-20$ more for power if you did 3 hours of full load gaming on average a day and wanted to keep the card for 2 years.

It is worth it IMO

No point in getting a Z97 MOBO if you are getting a CPU that can't be overclocked waste of money. And that GPU is pretty weak for your price point.

This is a more balanced build. I kept the case you chose since it's the most personal choice, but you could obviously save a lot of money here.

I don't know what your budget is, but the Xeon e3-1231v3 may be a good upgrade for you.

thanks for the advice and why is that processor better? its only .2 ghz more for 70$ more and under 900 is my budget

i game roughly 8 to 10 hours a day (though some of that is working on my games)

i dont plan on overclocking but what cpu and gpu would you put instead?

The CPU you listed is good enough for most of today's games. For Motherboard the models that the other people recommended is good, any MOBO from ASUS, Asrock, Gigabyte or MSI from $50 to $100 price range will fit your needs.

so something like this?

my issue is that it'll run around 450 watts and unless i heard wrong for long term gaming you want to keep your load low on the psu to avoid overheating ( not that it would cause any damage but to avoid the fans from making too much racket as i record my videos for youtube)

lol plus I want that case I picked out

ok so then this will be fine? even at 8 to 10 hours per day?

i would recommend an h97m anneversary and no CPU cooler as the CPU comes with one.

If you really want that case then go for it, otherwise i would recommend the enthoo pro in that price range.

lol thanks for the advice but i want an atx board and case but i appreciate your advice lol

and the cpu fan i am getting seperatly is quiter and still just as good at cooling (which is important for my youtube videos)

bleh ssd isn't that important to me right now if i decide to get one i will i just don't see the point as of right now with how small they are

You have no idea how wrong you are.
