[SOLVED] What do you think about my build?

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3600MHz

Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO

PSU: Corsair RM550x

Secondary memory: Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD

Case: Thermaltake Case Mid Tower H200

GPU: 1660 super (maybe..)

What do you guys think about this build? Is it gonna be good enough for the next 6/7 years for programming, matlab, photoshop, 3d designing, mathematica, and a little gaming (for the last years, low settings are good enough)? It took me soo long to choose these components, i spent 750 euros for now (i still have to buy the GPU)

It's great! But two things: the RGB Black Edition has a better fan than the Black Edition. And over both I would rather pick the Noctua NH-U12s Chromax. But it has a price difference. And I would really not go with that case, it looks like it has poor airflow. Consider something like the Lancool II Mesh or P400A or Corsair's 4000D Airflow or 275R Airflow. You could also wait for Ryzen 5600 or 5600X if you want. But I am assuming you've already purchased these parts, if you can return them at no additional costs then I would definitely recommend changing the case.

The 1660 Super is great! In fact if you're going for 1080p 60Hz you might even be able to do High settings

Wait for AMD to come out with 6000 series AMD GPU next month so you can get the 5700xt for cheap.

The difference is very small and the price would still be too high

The difference between 1660 super and 5700 Xt is pretty big. As for the price.... Where I live, the 3080 has launched for $1000 for the Founders edition (thanks to taxes and import duty) but you can't get any non FE card for anything less than $1500. Instead of old card pricing dropping, the new cards are selling at massively inflated prices

Are you sure you checked the 4000D airflow version? That's surprising that the H200 has better airflow considering it's a blocked front, dang. Maybe it has something to do with the fans that come with the case

Side note: 1660 Super likely will not last 6-7 years. Even teh 3600, they'll probably show their age closer to 4 years. The 1660s even sooner possibly

No no the 4000D has a closed front. I'm talking about teh 4000D airflow version. It has a metal grate

Ooh yeah i considered that one, i would have liked to get it but its 40€ more expensive than the thermaltake!

Well around the same price there isn't much of an option really. If you're looking athe specific price point then that is the only good option
