So I've had this system for the past 2 1/2 years and it crashes at least once a day.. sometimes more. I thought it was the Motherboard because it will only be as stable as it is with one BIOS update from 2019. All the rest make it crash constantly and wouldn't allow me to install Windows. However, I recently purchased a new Motherboard (B550) and I couldn't get Windows installed without it crashing.

I did run a memtest on it and that came back fine:

Provide us with more information - when does the system crash exactly? Does it crash when you start a game? Does it crash when the system is under load?

As by this -
All the rest make it crash constantly and wouldn't allow me to install Windows.
Do you mean that Windows wasn't able to be installed because of the constant 'crashes' or because of something else?

By 'crash' - I suppose you mean sudden system shutdown.

Thanks for the quick reply

The system crashes randomly. I haven't played a game in a while but the funny thing is that it never crashed when I was gaming. I played games like Battlefield and a couple other FPS games.

But it never makes sense when or why it crashes. Sometimes when I am surfing the web. Others when the computer is sitting idle.

Yes, I meant that windows would not complete the install with a BSOD and then it would start over in a vicious circle.

And by crash it is mostly BSOD. Most times it will reboot after it collects the info and others it would totally freeze on BSOD and I would have to use the power button to shut it down and then power it back on.

Sometimes it will crash once or twice within 10 minutes of me turning on the computer and then be fine all day after that. Other times it will work fine for a couple of hours and then crash.. it is very random

If it's BSOD, there is always error code on the screen. Try to capture that.
