I am not certain about the rog swift yet as I am aware that a new 1440p IPS monitor is coming out soon which could change things up so I will wait till then. But any advice you could give me about my build would be great.I am also thinking of upgrading the hyper 212 evo to the h110 or h100i but am not sure if I should for overclocking? Btw this is a red and black themed pc. Thanks in advance for any advice :)

Your build is alright, I would suggest doing with a Noctua d14 if you want air cooling, if you have money save up for the 980 to go with the ROG swift. Good Case, Really Silent. Go with the MSI GTX 970 if you want a red and black themed PC and maybe a h440 if you want, but I really like the r5. Solid build though.

Looks like a great build to me. :) I am using an older Zalman cooler(see sig), and it was enough to get me to 4.7ghz easily. With water cooling I may of gotten to 4.8/4.9ghz. The EVO cooler should allow similar overclocking potential as my Zalman cooler, maybe even slightly better. So it's up to you if the extra 100-200mhz overclock is worth the water cooling over the EVO air cooler. Although with the better cooling you may be able to achieve higher results with less heat, and voltage.

Another thing I noticed was that you picked DDR3 1600 ram. Why not 1866/2133? Both those ram speeds can usually be found very close to the same price as the 1600mhz stuff. Maybe $10-20 more at most, and if you shop around you may be able to get it at the same price as the DDR3 1600. You would just have to enable the xmp profile in the bios to support it properly.

Is a 980 really worth it or should I go with dual 970s?
Also I hate the colour scheme of noctuas fans so is there anything else you would recommend for overclocking? I'm not fussed of its air or water cooled tbh.
And yeah the r5 just looks amazing

I would go with the H110i GT if you have the money or the X61. If not go for the H100i or the H80i.
