I'm not computer savvy but do you think I shud go to 500w instead? and whats wrong w/ the Athlon?

Wattage isn't so much a problem, as is the quality, for that power supply. CoolMax is junk. Ram is wrong choice, as that is for an old Intel triple channel system. Do not really recommend AMD either, as there is 0 upgrade path. This would be a far better setup, and give you some future upgradeability.
