What do you think of my rig?

Hi there, i would like to know what you think of my rig.

Specs:
-Intel Q6600 oc'd to 3.2gHz
-Gigabyte GA-EG45m
-Antec One Hundred w/ window
-XFX pro650w XXX edition Modular
-EVGA Gtx 660 SC 2gb
-OCZ Platinum 8gb DDR2 oc'd to 1066mHz
-Zalman Soccet 775 air cooling
-Cooler master case fans

I game at 1920 x 1080

The CPU and Motherboard are outdated but i am looking to upgrade to an i5-2500k or possibly an i5-3470. What kind of improvement would I see?
Also, what is a good motherboard that I can use. I am leaning towards getting the 2500k so i can overclock but what is a great motherboard for this CPU?
I am looking to buy a second GTX 660 sometime in the future so I can put them in SLI so the motherboard must support SLI.
What are some suggestions you might have? Keep in mind my budget is very limited so it can't be too expensive.

The CPU cooler I will most likely be getting is the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo.
I am also considering the Cooler Master Hyper N 520. Which is better?
Also how high would I be able to overclock with each of these coolers?

Another thing i'd like to point out is the the case came with a 140mm fan that was mounted at the top but unfortunately it crashes into the cpu fan (see pictures). I will be installing this back into the case when i've got a different cpu cooler.

Just take a look at some of the pictures I have and let me know what you think and perhaps suggestions you may have for my build. Also please suggest me a good motherboard and which CPU upgrade would be best for my computer.

Thanks for the quick reply, I just looked up the motherboard you mentioned and it's for sale on Newegg for 120 bucks. Seems like a nice price and well worth the money.

Yes the cpu cooler is ridiculous and doesn't even allow me to install the top fan so trust me, I will be very happy to get rid of it! lol

Do you think I will be able to overclock to 4ghz with the Hyper Evo 212?

That is mainly the reason i will be getting either the 2500k or the 3570k because they have the ability to overclock as the non-K models do not. I will get the Hyper 212 evo since you say it's better and i've read on other forums that it is superior to the N520 in terms of noise/heat.
It seems like a great cooler and i might push it to 4.5gHz.

When i come to think of it you're quite right. Overclock isn't really necessary as the main purpose of my system is for gaming but I'm not into the heaving gaming or anything but I like a good working system that will be able to handle new games well and be equiped for years to come. What would you say about the i5-3470? It's a non-k cpu but it can Turbo boost up to 3.6gHz which is actually higher than what my q6600 is running at so it will obviously be a huge jump for me.
