I can get it pretty cheap, just one question regarding those who may be familiar with this monitor, do the colours look good? If not can I change them so they live up to standard gaming expectations?
I'm pretty sure I have this monitor in 24" I've had it for a few years. I'm pretty happy with it. On my monitor it will not operate above 60Hz over HDMI. So you'll definitely want display port to drive this monitor.
The colors are good. If you are doing word processing or other office tasks the monitor is just too bright for me even in the "night mode." For gaming it's pretty good.
VG278Q is good for a TN monitor.
Color and contrast are good for TN.
The build quality is quite solid.
The only weakness of this monitor is the viewing angle (TN is always like this).
It is a good option for gaming.
That is gaming grade TN screen. Main strengths are size and high refresh rate.
If you're not also doing photo editing, then colors will be fine. Of course, they can't be as good as on IPS screen.
