I'm looking to max out in BattleField 3 mostly.

It is honestly hard to determine which brand gets better fps in BF3 at this point. Don't try to site frame rates from before October. I saw a review for 12.11 that show the 7970 or 7870 (I forgot which one), was getting something like a 10 or 15 fps boost. But then I heard that nVidia was increased their FPS again with drivers. AMD is still better in most games for the price.
