What do you think of this drive?

Okay. I recently purchased parts for a gaming system im building, and I was thinking of how shitty my storage was gonna be. I had a laptop 5400RPM 120GB HDD from Hitachi (SATA, yes it works on my current desktop), a Seagate PATA 7200RPM 80GB HDD, and a Hitachi Deskstar SATA 80GB HDD.

So, I went looking for a hardrive on ebay. suprise! THEY'RE EXPENSIVE. Then, while I was pondering what to do, I looked over and looked at my external drive. I thought, "what a pain in the ass. I hate plugging that thing in and running the power cable to it.." when it hit me "EXTRACT THE DRIVE!". So, I did it.

The resulting extracted drive is a Western Digital Caviar Green 2.0TB SATA3 Drive. I plugged it in, installed windows 7 and it works fine, but it looks so ******* nice.. I know it has rediculous storage capacity, but performance wise.. would you say this is a good hard drive aside from the capacity? Also, its 7,200RPM.

They're okay drives. Not the fastest but faster than the ones you mentioned above.

Really, though, if you want fast storage for your OS, grab an SSD.
Something like this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227807

You install the OS on it and a few applications. Everything else goes on the HDD. This translates to a very fast bootup, faster app loading and a snappier windows experience. It's worth it, trust me.

 but they're so expensive! I'm really interested in getting myself an SSD when the prices drop and capacity goes up. I might look into them if i find an SSD thats at least 150GB and is affordable. ._.
