I'm ready to upgrade my computer monitor. The one I am using right now is 11 years old and was one of the best for its time. It will become my secondary monitor once I replace it.

This is what I currently own: https://www.newegg.com/lg-w2353v-pf-23/p/N82E16824005125?Item=N82E16824005125

Right now I am running a GTX 1070 but plan to upgrade to a GTA 2080 this year for Cyberpunk 2077. I don't want to do 4k since you really need to have a beefy computer so I figure that 2k is a good middle ground. I am also very interested in having a bigger screen for FPS multiplayer and the G sync feature to prevent screen tearing. Thoughts on this choice?

I do notice that ironically my older monitor has a 1ms response time but this one is 5ms. Is this something I should be concerned about? I've read it's only something a bot would notice anyway.

It's 2ms, Gray to Gray compared to the 5ms on the monitor you're looking at. Higher response times will mean a little more in prices. Here is a shortlist of monitors in a 32" screen size at your desired resolution.

You can see there is a 1ms version of the LG monitor.
I checked the monitor you were talking about and according to amazon it's still rated at 5ms. Also it appears to only have FreeSync which won't work for me since I own a GTX card. The one I picked out has g sinc.

The reason I think that monitor shows 1ms is because how LG rates their response time. According to LG's specs it is 1ms MBR but it's actually 5ms (GtG) which I understand is the standard.

Based on the research I've done I've concluded the difference between 2ms and 5ms is negligible. Now the big question is whether I should look for a 21:9 monitor... although I’m still leaning for a standard aspect ratio since I’d lose some FPS especially at 2k.
