Your SSD is too small. 120GB or larger, or don't bother.
Yes, you can install Windows on a 64GB drive and use it. But you will be continually be managing the free space on it.

The only reason I want the ssd is for a boot drive and nothing more.
that is completely up to you. but a 64gb tier 2 older tech ssd for $45 versus a 128gb tier 1b newer tech ssd for $60 is kinda easy decision dont you think.
