Your own build isn't actually that bad,it's a good build.Having said that would i make adjustments too,

one with your own choice of case,

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($194.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($124.89 @ OutletPC)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($39.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Silicon Power Silm S55 480GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($98.99 @ Amazon) ( i know alot of money)
Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 960 4GB AMP! Edition Video Card ($189.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair C70 Military...
Here are the changes I'd make:

1. Buy an SSD for the OS and programs.
2. Buy an R9 380 instead of the GTX 960.
3. Buy a better PSU.

For that last one, consult the PSU tier list at www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html for recommended models. You could also go for an H170 motherboard unless you wanted to buy an unlocked CPU or add a second GPU in SLI.

both with a better psu and a large enough ssd to start with.Additional storage could be added later on.No after market cpu cooler, but again could be added later on.Dont see the need for the i5 6600 looking at the price and looking at the i5 6500 at price/performance.
I changed the monitor too btw.

I did look to reviews and in all honesty is the r9 380X not that much better, but it will deliver more fps in most games. It depends on the games you play how much.As said read some reviews before making up your mind.
