What Does an SSD's Cache Mean

I am thinking about upgrading to an M.2 drive in the near future and I'm a little more enlightened about all the specific things I have studied like form factors and key types but I have not figured out what the cache is all about.
What is a cache for my drive?
Is a 520 mb cache good? Bad?

This is the drive I have been thinking about purchasing: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16820147594
Please help and Thanks!

The cache for an SSD is the same as the cache for an HDD< or the various levels on your CPU.
It is a very small, very fast holding space for what the system/drive/CPU needs next.

Forr your proposed upgrade...does your current motherboard support that drive natively?
