Hi

What do the letters M.I.T stand for in the BIOS of my Gigabyte motherboard ? I did not find what these letters mean in the manual that came with the motherboard.

Also

Note: My new build WILL NOT overclock anything. It will be just an ordinary home PC for surfing the web, emails, paying bills online, submitting taxes, watching movies, burning a DVD here and there etc... That is pretty much it, I believe.

I would like know which parameters I should look at in the BIOS after a new build is complete. I know I have to set the boot sequence that I want, make sure date and time as well as language are set properly. Are there any other I should setup myself or verify if they are set properly for my system by default ? My processor is i3-4150 and memory is G.Skills Ares 2 x 4GB 1600mhz.

Thank You

Hello... Motherboard Intelligent Tweaker
The defaults on the Gigabytes for the i3 should be set good at default...
1) You can look at your CPU fan setting for higher/lower ( noise ) fan speed...
2) also you could disable/enable the CPU/IGT for an extra graphics display adaptor/monitor output availble for Windows.
3) check sleep/wake modes for your hardware and needs.

I will not have a dedicated video card. Will use graphics that come with the i3-4150 chip. As far as fan go, I will have 2 fans connected (Front and back fans on Corsair 300R casing). The fan connectors are 3 pins connecting to 4 pin connector on the mobo.
