what does the intel-solid-state-driver do?

lately I've been watching many building computers videos, and most of them are using this "intel-solid-state-driver"

i checked it on amazon and its about 300$ a price that expensive must have a good features, so i was wondering what does it do??

It's a SSD. Same as a Samsung, Crucial, Kingston, etc, etc.

SSD - a solid state drive. Does the same thing as a regular hard drive, just way faster. And more expensive per GB.


And "most of them are using this"...no.
Many may be using a SSD, but not necessarily that Intel. There are many others, in that size, for much less money.

Are you perhaps selecting parts for a new PC?
Depending on your budget, an SSD is highly recommended.
Faster, quieter, less noise, less heat...many benefits.
