What does the "PROCHOT 95°C" do?

I installed the program called ThrottleStop. Right under the bottom theres a button with a tick that is called Prochot 95°C. What does it do? And how do I activate it again cuz I wrongly disabled it :/

Throttlestop can disable all kinds of throttling schemes. But unless your CPU is running at that kind of temperature I wouldn't worry too much. If it is I would worry a lot.

The PROCHOT box simply notifies you when your processor has reached its maximum safe operating temperature. Normally, this box should always be clear. A well designed laptop includes an adequate cooling solution so it should never overheat.

If you are doing something stressful or playing a game and you notice that the PROCHOT box suddenly has a check mark in it, that tells you that your CPU reached that temperature. The PROCHOT box will remain checked even if your temperature returns to normal. That means you do not always have to watch for your CPU overheating. ThrottleStop does not even have to be running since this throttling information is stored within the CPU. As soon as ThrottleStop starts or as ThrottleStop is running, if any overheating is detected, a check mark will appear. Clicking on this box will clear that information from the CPU and from ThrottleStop. Once the PROCHOT box is clear, clicking on this box again will not set this flag within the CPU. Only an overheating processor can set this flag.

The Intel specified throttling temperature for a 7200U is actually 100°C.

ThrottleStop is showing only 95°C in your screenshot. This means that your laptop manufacturer decided to ignore Intel's advice and decided to set a lower thermal throttling temperature to either protect some weak components within your laptop or maybe they were just trying to protect your lap. Individual manufacturers are allowed to offset the official thermal throttling temperature by up to 15°C. I would return a laptop if a manufacturer did that.
