Hello fellow tech enthusiasts,

I have a PC with the following components:
  • CPU: Intel 10th Gen i5-10400
  • RAM: 32 GB DDR4 2666 MHz
  • Motherboard: ASUS PRIME H470-PLUS
  • PSU: Corsair 650W
I've recently encountered a problem when trying to power on my pc. Upon startup, my PC emits a series of beeping sounds, and I'm not getting any display output on my monitor. I've checked all the connections, reseated the RAM, and made sure everything is properly connected, but the issue persists.
The beep sequence is:

1 Long beep, 3 short beeps, pause, 1 short beep

I'm not exactly sure what these beeping sounds mean, and I'd greatly appreciate any insights or guidance on how to diagnose and resolve this issue. Could it be a hardware compatibility problem, a faulty component, or something else entirely?

If anyone has experience with similar problems or knowledge about the ASUS PRIME H470-PLUS motherboard and can help me troubleshoot this issue, I would be extremely grateful.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

one long, 3 short - Conventional or Extended memory failure. Remove added memory, or reseat the installed memory sticks.
1 short - DRAM refresh failure
Both point at ram

could need new sticks. Try running with just 1 stick if you have 2.
not sure it help but could clean memory slots out, make sure no debris in them.

PS: The long beep + 3 shorts (pause) 1 beep is indeed VGA not detected and not hardware malfunction on asus motherboards.
