What does this connect to?

removed all cables from my mobo, HDD, PSU, etc to do some cable management. I don't recall this being connected to anything, it seems to be from the case. What does it do?

It's just a plain, common molex connector.

You mean no wires attached (I don't see any), just rolling about loose in the case?
