What drive do you prefer to install windows?

Solution

QFT.
Too many people strive to put that scratch space on a HDD, in an effort to limit write cycles on the SSD.
BAH! That's what the SSD is there for...speed Use it!

I have a seperate 120GB SSD for exactly that. Cache space for Lightroom, video applications, 3D CAD application, etc, etc.
1) Install it on the SSD, no question.
2) When doing so, don't have the HDD connected. Otherwise it puts part of the OS on the HDD. Supposedly, having recovery on a separate drive is better, but then you need the HDD to boot (I think). That's why I have image backups.

Little-accepted truth: if you are using software that has massive temp-file activity, such as Adobe software, the SSD is the best place to put the scratch space.

unplug any other HDD you have and just have the SSD drive as the only one connected. after the install is completed you can power down the pc and reconnect them
