I am setting up a cad work station and wanted to know the ideal place to put Windows, cad software, and cad files. I have two ssd sata III and one ssd pcie I was thinking of putting Windows on one drive, cad software on another, and cad files on a third. My question is what should I put on which drives? With the pcie drive being much faster should I put Windows and cad software on that one or split it all up.

Trying to use the tips in this write up

Hey there, Weseldesel.

Your OS will be fast enough with a SATA SSD in my opinion. you can use the PCIE for the CAD software. In such builds there's almost no such thing as extra RAM, so the more - the better. You can use the 2nd SATA SSD for some extra stuff or ready projects if don't have enough space on the PCIE drive.

Hope that helps.
