What drivers do I need for my motherboard?

So I just purchased a new Motherboard, CPU and Memory for my PC. Everything is good however before the parts arrive I need to know which Motherboard Drivers I need to download/install onto my hard drive before installing the new board.

I bought the Asus Z170-AR Motherboard. I've looked at a few other threads and people are saying to download "Chipset, Audio, LAN, USB, and SATA" as the main ones, however the problem arises once I go onto the Asus website and view the Drivers for the z170-AR board for Windows 10 64bit. There are many differently named drivers under each tab and I don't know which one/ones I am supposed to download.

Am I supposed to download every single driver in each of those tabs? I'm sure some of them are just updates to previous ones which I don't need, however some are labelled very differently and I'm get very confused.

The site I am looking at is: https://www.asus.com/nz/Motherboards/Z170-AR/HelpDesk_Download/

Could someone please view the site and let me know which drivers to download under each tab (Chipset, Audio, LAN, USB, and SATA).

Thanks everyone in advance! :)

No, USB ports will work without any drivers. Without a LAN driver you wont be able to download the rest though. If you want to put them on the SSDD then that's fine, but without an optical drive or USB how did you think you were going to install the OS and use the drivers on the SSD?

You will get driver discs with the hardware or can use ASUS' AI Suite for driver updates etc

Sorry guys, I should have mentioned that I don't have an optical drive. had one years ago but never used it, so I sold it which is why I need to get the drivers off the Asus website.

Download them onto a USB flash drive, especially the LAN drivers, or you may not be able to get online to get the rest.

But won't I need the USB drivers first to detect the USB? I was planning on downloading the drivers I need onto my SSD and once I install the new board the drivers I downloaded should all (hopefully) be sitting on my desktop where I put them, ready to install.

Oh wow, my bad. I completely forgot to mention that the new Motherbaord, CPU and Memory are an upgrade. I already have the OS, I'm just upgrading my Motherboard CPU and Memory. All other components are staying the same. I was going to download the drivers onto my SSD, switch out the board for the new one and then hopefully just start up again without any problems. I've already done research about OEM and Retail versions of Windows and I'm fine in that department.

Good luck. Switching motherboards and keeping an OS isn't always simple, especially with chipset/ME drivers etc. You'd be much better off reinstalling or you will probably be back on here with OS issues soon.
