I just got a EVGA Z97 FTW ATX LGA1150 Motherboard and I was wondering what drivers I need to put on a flash drive and install on my new pc also is the network driver the driver I need for a ethernet cable

Solution
You generally need the LAN, chipset, audio and usb drivers. The rest is optional and depends if you use it.
Generally, the disc that comes with your motherboard can get you started. The EVGA driver support site will give you the latest drivers.

Have you already installed your new Motherboard? If not:

Store your Ethernet/LAN drivers on a USB. I remember when i first installed my H97 motherboard, my Ethernet port flat out would not work until I installed drivers.

As for other drivers, install Chipset drivers primarily. Others are optional, unless your motherboard is giving you trouble.

the EVGA site doesn't have a LAN driver just a network driver are they the same thing? also once I download the drivers to a usb do I just plug the usb into my pc start it up and install the drivers?

Lan driver is another name for ethernet driver.
The files you downloaded are typically compressed into zipped files. You just need to extract the files on your pc and run the setup.
Install the drivers after installing the OS.

Wait, do all mobos come with a disk to install the lan driver also can I burn it onto a usb

Yes they should all come with a disc containing the drivers but are probably outdated. If your build does not have an optical drive and you using the usb to transfer the drivers to your pc, just download from EVGA site. No need to use the disc.
If you have a optical drive, you can use the disc but eventually you have to get the newest drivers from that site.

okay thanks I just needed to know if I can use the disk and put them on a usb for a temporary fix so I can use my keyboard mouse and ethernet cable so I can download the newest drivers

Yes you could but if you already have another pc, you can already download the drivers onto a usb before the motherboard is delivered.
You should be able to use the keyboard and mouse without the usb 3.0 drivers if you use usb 2.0 ports.
