What drives do I need? first computer build

ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VII HERO
Windows 8.1 professional
intel i5-4690K
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB G1 GAMING




So I have a ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VII HERO motherboard

But when I visit the site there are just a crazy amount of drives to download. What ones do I need and what once are good to have?


Other than the motherboard what other components need drives?

I would just get something like the Asus EZ update to automatically update all the drivers you need I think

What you mean is drivers! Drivers help to use the hardware. You'll need the latest drivers for your parts like your video card, the motherboard. Your OS may also download drivers via Automatic Update. It is recommended to update the drivers regularly, when available.
The latest ones are the best, but there can be some glitches here and there. I heard that some Radeon Cards had some issues after updating to the latest drivers.
