what equipment will I need to take POV video?

Action camera strapped to head should not work because I want the video to be static / stable all the time. Every slight head movement will certainly affect the video too. I also do not want to mount to the ceiling. I also hope that it can use with my cheap mobile phone, because I just want to take a few videos with my phone so I don't want to buy any professional video taking equipment. Any advice? Thanks a lot.

I have similar tripod, not counter-weighted though. But it does not work very well. Any other alternatives?

If you don't want to use proper equipment, you could always stack-up bricks on your desk and tape your phone to a paint stirring stick, stuck between the top two bricks.

Turn on OiS and duct tape the phone to your face maybe?

Or the new Go pro Hero (7 I think?) Has an insanely good built in OiS.

But yea, could just get something to mount your phone onto that is stationary and sits above what you're doing and films it.

If you don't want to "buy" anything, that leaves DIY.

Adapt or recreate a drone gimbal and a counterweight.
Success depends on your DIY skillz.
