You should check out OFP Watch (http://www.binarybone.com/ofpwatch/), it
also supports modfolders and automatic addon downloading from AAS
servers (the server side of ofp watch). With version 1.10 modfolders on
the server can be automatically activated, so you just activate your
client-side mods (sound, sky and/or water-mods) and let OFP Watch do
the rest.
Afaik mod folder selection is more accessible in Kegetys launcher, so
for singleplayer that one might still be the better choice, but for mp
nothing beats OFP Watch. If you play on AAS servers you get
automatically notified about addon updates, you can let OFP Watch
automatically download and install them for you and with 1.10 even
automatically activate them. So if the server is running with different
mods at different times (wgl, fdf, ecp), OFP Watch does all for you...
Oh, btw: the addons do not "get loaded into ram" when ofp starts, but
mapped into virtual memory. If all the ~3gb of addons i use would get
loaded into ram i should be able to see this in the swapfile usage,
which i don't. This is what the -nomap parameter changes
😉
