This is a poor gaming pc, the performance would be lack luster. The graphics card is good but the cpu is quite weak.

By friend wants a decent gaming pc and monitor for £450 I told him his budget was too low.

nah that would be ok, it would depend on other factors like monitor or desired gaming resolution, then the games you like to play. GTA V and call of duty are known to be easy to run , but say Tomb raider or uncharted or the witcher will require some lowering of settings to run well most likely, but the cpu wont throttle 99% of the games you d play the gpu would hit its limit first every time.

Edit: cpu would be a problem, thought it was a quad core, just saw it was only dual core, some of the games made for multi core cpus will barely play, not to mention just not a good all around and wont last nearly as long as cpus capable of 4 plus threads.
