Question What games can i run on this rig?

Games from what years can I run a max settings smoothly on a Dell Optiplex 780 with these specs?:


Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz
Video Card: Intel(R) Q45/Q43 Express Chipset
Ram: 5gb

I'd say games from about the 2011 Era. i.e, Saints Row the third, Borderlands 2, etc etc.

Early to mid 2000s at latest, but don't expect max settings at high resolution.

You could try games like gta san andreas, gta 3, rainbow six, doom 3, half life 2, far cry, tomb raidor anniversary, ect.

Newer games just wont work well unless they are very simple.

You won't be able to play anything 3D on older Intel IGPs, current ones are barely usable by standards of their time and anything before Ivy Bridge is considerably worse. You will be limited to mostly low details and/or low resolution on games from ~10 years ago and 2D games in general.

Not very many. You really need a 750 graphics card to fix this......which can be found for cheap.
