500 GB Harddrive

I'm wondering if I can play games that are out for the ps4 and xbox one. On my PC Black ops 3 runs at about 120 fps and borderlands runs at about 40 on highest settings.

I'm hoping to be able to play Battlefield one, maybe Infinite warfare and skyrim special edition.

System requirements lab says I don't meet the minimum requirements of some of the newer games because my CPU isn't good enough. I guess my question is could I still play these games.

For example there are videos on youtube about people with gtx 960's running battlefield 1 at 60 fps.

Is my CPU bottlenecking my graphics card? Hoping someone gets the gist of my inquiry.

Thanks.

Core i5 6500 + the cheapest B150 or H170 motherboard you can find with 4 RAM slots. You'll also want 2x 4GB DDR4 to go with it.
Yeah, the i7-750 is a bottleneck. The GTX 960 isn't the best card available, but it should be able to handle newer games. You can still play newer games with your current setup, but your frame rates will be hindered by your processor.

The GPU is only a year and a half old, so that will be good enough to find a playable setting in almost any game.....but the CPU being 7 years old is getting a little long in the tooth for the most current, demanding games.

You may well be able to find a playable setting in most all situation (Battlefield 1 64-multiplay will be a huge challenge, but may be OK in single player), but it is probably time to start planning to update your platform if you want to use it for the most current titles going forward.

Don't bother with SLI on lower end cards like the 960. SLI support has been rather spotty of late meaning lots of games don't benefit from having a second card, and even the games that do work with it can suffer from inconsistent frametimes leading to microstuttering problems. You're better off saving up for a faster single card.

They won't get that for 350 by the time you add a cooler and ram in.

They could look at a bundle with cpu, mboard and ram in....
