What generated these files?

About a half-hour after executing Ultimate Mahjongg 5 on Win 98 the following ftwo files were generated:

Fade.um5 (um5 is game title)

Intro.dat (may have been "nointro.dat)

They loaded only seconds apart. Are these files caused by human-interaction or by extended non-use?

Are you certain they were generated, and not only written to, after about an half-hour play? I would guess they were written to, and that they contain your play progress and scoring.

INTRO.DAT sounds like the type of file used during the DOS to Win -98 era for intro sound and pic, while FADE.UM5 being the score keeping file.
