What GPU could I use?

Short and Sweet:

I have a potato for a computer and would like to get a GPU that could run DayZ properly.

However, I don't even know if my PC could support an upgrade such as this.

If anyone can suggest a compatible GPU.

RAM 8GB DDR3

PSU 240W

as long as your mobo has a pcie slot you should be fine for nice budget gpu i recommend

if you plan to do any gpu 240 w power supply wont cut it at all

You'll need a better power supply. Being an older dell this may be difficult as it may have oddball size or hookups

It's also a small form factor so it's probably not going to work with a normal power supply

it looks as if your motherboard does have the correct motherboard for a gpu so you should be in the green

To be honest, it's not worth the time and effort to try and upgrade that system. (Dell Optiplex 390 Tech Specs)

1) It's a small form factor. This means you're limited to low-profile cards
2) 240 watt PSU. This power supply, even brand new, would be hard pressed to power any moderate graphics card.
3) Your motherboard is wired to limit the power from the PCI-Ex16 slot to 25 watts (pg 16).

In my opinion, the cost of finding such a card outweighs the performance increase you may see.
