What GPU for Geforce gtx 660

Hey there i have recently got a new GPU (EVGA GTX 660 SC) and its been crashing, i wasnt sure why until i looked on MSI afterburner the power usage keeps going to 35674265984 like really high over 100 and my pc crashes, i think this is because of my current power supply, im not sure the make it was a cheap one but its 550w, so im thinking of getting a 750w or 700w one. I was wondering what one would get my GPU to run stable and have room for more upgrades in the future.

All i want to know is what is the BEST possible GPU to run this stable and at a nice rate... and im hoping that this will fix the crashes that i currently experience, i experience crashes like when playing games my pc will either restart, the screen will just go black or the blue error screen. Im looking to spend no more than £65-£70. Thanks!

For a 660, you should get a corsair cx500.

If you have a spare card, then try that.
It may also be a faulty card.

i dont think it is, i had a previous card the Radeon 7870 and it was doing this too but more often so i replaced it with this and its still happening

Im not actually sure just a cheap 550w one, was a quick buy for my previous gt 640, but it has no make and was only about £35-40 i think, so its pretty bad, was good for the 640 but i think its just too outdated for the 660

The xfx has a 6-pin and a 6+2-pin. From what you've described your problem is indeed the power supply. Get rid of the one you have before it damages other parts.
