Hello and Welcome.

I have created a Poll to see what is the most popular Graphics Card for playing Battlefield 3. I would also like to note that this thread is not just about Battlefield 3, so please feel free to add your comment as to which GPU you have to play what game. The Poll will close on the 1st November so it gives people time to reply back on the performance of thier card and so on. Thank you for everyone reading this and a bigger thank you for for participating!

Also because of the limitations of the Poll answers I wont be able to be as precise with what GPU so please put a comment as to which exact Model you have.

Well, I guess I'm gonna see how my current system handles it.

2500k - 4.4ghz
AMD ASUS Direct CU 6870 OC'd 1000/1200
8GB HyperX Ram

I'll be running at 1920x1080.....so i'll try the game on the highest settings at first, review my fps, and lower settings until i reach my sweet spot between graphics and gameplay. Hopefully my 6870 will have mostly higher settings with maybe 2-4 AA.

Other games I'm waiting for....Skyrim. I just know it's going to provide so many hours of fun for myself.......just like Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3 did.

I'm happy to see L.A. Noire coming to PC, looks like an interesting game, and I'll no doubt buy Football Manager 2012 when it comes out as I've put in over 500 hours of the 2011 version.

I was anticipating MW3, but my interest has cooled a bit recently.

Surprisingly all the games you mentioned are either ones I really want or ones that ive played a lot of, especially Footy Manager 2011. Always been a fan of the series but i thought 2011 was a just the same as 2010 with a few minor adjustments. Skyrim as well! I really cannot wait for this game!

I will buy my computer in 10-ish days, this is the setup:

I am planning on running comp that is fit to fully support a 120hz screen for the smoothness. For that I will buy the BenQ monitor.

- 2x ASUS 6950 DCII 2GB for the coolness, silence and absolute rediculous OCability
- Intel 2500k cooled by a Noctua NH-D14 - again coolness, silence and big e-peen
- Asus p8z68 Deluxe for the exceptional crossfire performance, lowest Watt usage of all cards in the series
- 4GB Dual CHannel G.Skill RipJawX (2133MHz CL9 or 1600MHz CL6) - still not sure on this one - great performance and e-peen
AX850 PSU for the silence and performance
HAF-X Case for the cooling and big size
And I am thinking of whether to buy a mechanical keyboard now or wait for a TT eSport mech keyboard with macros..

By the looks on the specs for this game I would go for a 6950 2gb or even a 6870, but if Battlefield 3 has Physx then you may want to invest in a Nvidia card...... Thats if you want all the bells and trimmings!

there is no way bf3 has nvidia physx when thier own physics engine is quite spectacular.BTW can you estimate what settings I can run bf3 on with my oced 275 and i7-870?My resolution is 1680X1050 :)

I have a gtx 570 and i can play crysis on max and get on average 52 FPS which is awsome. same with Crysis 2 DX11 as well. Im sure most people will be able to play battlefield 3 on low or medium which is good. But to max it im sure a gtx 570 or 560ti should max it with reasonable FPS. (HOPEFULLY lol)
