Hello, my old RX 480 just died and i want to buy another GPU, i don't now what GPU to choose.

I want to buy an RX 580 (100 Euro) or RX 590 (145 Euro), my questions are:

  1. It is worth to pay 45 Euro extra for RX 590?
  2. Which is maintaining a Lower Temperature?
  3. I will see a considerable better performance than RX 480?
  4. Is more worth to buy with 130 Euro the RX 580 Strix with 3 fans?

P.S: I will not buy BlowerFan cards.

Thanks for help!

  1. No. It is noticeable the performance uplift, but nothing worth that much more money.
  2. Really depends on the model. I would assume RX580 since they run with a lower clock.
  3. Nope. 580/570 are faster than an RX480, but really not.
  4. It may be if nice and temps are a concern, but it really depends on the mode of 580 that is 100 euro.

I'm kind of in the same situation. If I want to upgrade my RX480 8gb which i bought for $89, I will have to spend at least $250 in order to get a worthwhile performance bump in my eyes.

The RX 480 is verry good for High 1080p gaming, the noise is killing me. On the RX 580 i want to chose bettwen Nitro Special Edition and ASUS Strix 3 Fans
