Hi. Just interesting what is good gpu for xeon e3-1240 v2? No bottlenecks from cpu, or gpu side. I somewhere read it's i7-3770 level so just interesting that xeon is good for gaming or search i7?

Solution
there is no such thing as bottlenecks.
your GPU choice depends on you monitor resolution and refresh rate.
For 1080p@60Hz - GTX 1060 6GB/RX 580 will do the job. GTX 1070 would be perfect.
for higher refresh rate/resolution - whatever you can comfortably afford
They are similar, i7 3770 slightly faster and has integrated graphics, xeon does not. A mid level gpu nowadays will fit well i guess. Something like 1060 6gb is good. If you are gaming at 60 hz go for it. gtx 1070 would be an overkill. AMD side, Rx580 is also a good option. Prices are a bit high though due to mining.

Nice to hear that old chip works well with new and strong gpus. I think to make budget gaming pc. I grab msi h77ma-g43, but don't know it will be good with win 10? Wanna be good with some upgrades until win 10 supports end, then grab something new. Just now intel release something competitive with coffee lake :)
