What GPU should I buy for 1080p 144hz?

So I'm looking to buy a new graphics card and upgrade from my msi 1050ti. I recently got a new 144hz Monitor and this graphics card seems to not be able to keep a steady 144 fps. I mostly play PUBG, Fortnite, Battlefield 1 and other games occasionally. I play them on competitive settings so almost all low except view distance and I put some on medium for in-battle effects. Im wondering what graphics card would suitable for me to play these games at a steady 144hz (or lowest drop would be around 130) and be able to record with obs? I was looking at the 1070ti but if the 1060 would work, Id like to save the money. I also know theres alot of models out there so any suggestions would be great.

Thanks!

A better GPU will only go so far, even a 1080 ti (from my experience) can have dips below 130 (rare) at 1080P however this is only when using the highest settings. Lowering to medium would limit dips but I'd be more concerned with the streaming while trying to achieve 144.

I use comp settings. All low except some mediums for needed in-game affects and the best view distance.

Yeah, a GTX 1070 min.

Do you think this will get the fps I want? Or should I invest in the 1070ti or 1080?

Yeah, but if it was me I would get a GTX 1080 to get longer legs for future games etc.

True, but the GTX 1080 will perform for a longer period of time and give more headroom performance wise in the long run.

Thinking down the road a bit.

The GTX 1070Ti really isn't an option, not sure why it was even made, you have to OC the crap out of it to even start approaching GTX 1080 performance. That's GPU and Memory OC.
