Bottle neck a 2700???? Ok try a new gen gtx 2080ti max oc...(a joke) . It depends on his budget doesnt matter. Like ray tracing, or not? Specific brands, led, etc games. Eye candy whats ur screens hz for example cause you wont pump more fps out than you can deliver on the screen. On a 2700 id look at 2080 i do not see anything under 2060 being a real match with the 2700. 2700 is high end workstation power. Its better to look at a 2600 and pump in more gpu for the money if you like gaming. Ideal fit for your friend is from 1050ti till 1060 i guess cause for higher performance i want more cores anno 2019 on my cpu. I wouldn't suggest the 3gb 1060 or 2gb 1050 as video memory is a well needed thing too nowadays. The 1660 is a beast but more priceyz. The rx like the guys say is a good choice too its around the same performance degrees as these gtx's. I personally would look fof a cheap 1050ti as 1060 kinda sits in a position that gives you better options close by and makes 1060 kind of a bad buy over the others. And the price wilk probably drop too. Many gtx and rx are used for sale for nice prices
